إِنَّمَايَسْتَـْٔذِنُكَٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْءَاخِرِوَٱرْتَابَتْقُلُوبُهُمْفَهُمْفِىرَيْبِهِمْيَتَرَدَّدُونَ ٤٥

Saheeh International

Only those would ask permission of you who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and whose hearts have doubted, and they, in their doubt, are hesitating.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

إنما يستأذنك الذين لا يؤمنون بالله واليوم الآخر وارتابت قلوبهم فهم في ريبهم يترددون روى أبو داود عن ابن عباس قال : لا يستأذنك الذين يؤمنون بالله نسختها التي في ( النور ) إنما المؤمنون الذين آمنوا بالله ورسوله إلى قوله ( غفور رحيم )أن يجاهدوا في موضع نصب بإضمار " في " ; عن الزجاج . وقيل : التقدير : كراهية أن يجاهدوا ; كقوله : يبين الله لكم أن تضلواوارتابت قلوبهم شكت في الدين .فهم في ريبهم يترددون أي في شكهم يذهبون ويرجعون .
