8:59
وَلَايَحْسَبَنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟سَبَقُوٓا۟إِنَّهُمْلَايُعْجِزُونَ ٥٩

Saheeh International

And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah ].

Tafseer 'Ibn Kathir' (AR)

يقول تعالى لنبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم "ولا تحسبن" يا محمد "الذين كفروا سبقوا" أي فاتونا فلا نقدر عليهم بل هم تحت قهر قدرتنا وفي قبضة مشيئتنا فلا يعجزوننا كقوله تعالى "أم حسب الذين يعملون السيئات أن يسبقونا ساء ما يحكمون" أي يظنون. وقوله "ولا تحسبن الذين كفروا معجزين في الأرض ومأواهم النار ولبئس المصير" وقوله تعالى "لا يغرنك تقلب الذين كفروا في البلاد متاع قليل ثم مأواهم جهنم وبئس المهاد" ثم أمر تعالى بإعداد آلات الحرب لمقاتلتهم حسب الطاقة والإمكان والاستطاعة.
