وَإِذَاٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟إِلَىٰٓأَهْلِهِمُٱنقَلَبُوا۟فَكِهِينَ ٣١

Saheeh International

And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

وإذا انقلبوا أي انصرفوا إلى أهلهم وأصحابهم وذويهم انقلبوا فكهين أي معجبين منهم . وقيل : معجبون بما هم عليه من الكفر ، متفكهون بذكر المؤمنين . وقرأ ابن القعقاع وحفص والأعرج والسلمي : فكهين بغير ألف . الباقون بألف . قال الفراء : هما لغتان مثل طمع وطامع وحذر وحاذر ، وقد تقدم في سورة ( الدخان ) والحمد لله . وقيل : الفكه : الأشر البطر والفاكه : الناعم المتنعم .
