قَالَقَدْوَقَعَعَلَيْكُممِّنرَّبِّكُمْرِجْسٌوَغَضَبٌأَتُجَٰدِلُونَنِىفِىٓأَسْمَآءٍسَمَّيْتُمُوهَآأَنتُمْوَءَابَآؤُكُممَّانَزَّلَٱللَّهُبِهَامِنسُلْطَٰنٍفَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟إِنِّىمَعَكُممِّنَٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ ٧١

Saheeh International

[Hud] said, "Already have defilement and anger fallen upon you from your Lord. Do you dispute with me concerning [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

Tafseer 'Ibn Kathir' (AR)

قال هود عليه السلام "قد وقع عليكم من ربكم رجس وغضب" أي قد وجب عليكم بمقالتكم هذه من ربكم رجس قيل هو مقلوب من رجز وعن ابن عباس معناه سخط وغضب "أتجادلونني في أسماء سميتموها أنتم وآباؤكم" أي أتحاجوني في هذه الأصنام التي سميتموها أنتم وآباؤكم آلهة وهي لا تضر ولا تنفع ولا جعل الله لكم على عبادتها حجة ولا دليلا ولهذا قال "ما نزل الله بها من سلطان فانتظروا إني معكم من المنتظرين". وهذا تهديد ووعيد من الرسول لقومه.
