ٱلَّذِينَيَصُدُّونَعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَيَبْغُونَهَاعِوَجًاوَهُمبِٱلْءَاخِرَةِكَٰفِرُونَ ٤٥

Saheeh International

Who averted [people] from the way of Allah and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they were, concerning the Hereafter, disbelievers.

Tafseer 'Baghawy Tafseer' (AR)

( الذين يصدون ) أي : يصرفون الناس ، ( عن سبيل الله ) طاعة الله ، ( ويبغونها عوجا ) أي : يطلبونها زيغا وميلا أي : يطلبون سبيل الله جائرين عن القصد .قال ابن عباس : يصلون لغير الله ، ويعظمون ما لم يعظمه الله . والعوج - بكسر العين - في الدين والأمر والأرض وكل ما لم يكن قائما ، وبالفتح في كل ما كان قائما كالحائط والرمح ونحوهما . ( وهم بالآخرة كافرون )
