7:149
وَلَمَّا سُقِطَ فِىٓ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَرَأَوۡاۡ أَنَّهُمۡ قَدۡ ضَلُّواۡ قَالُواۡ لَئِن لَّمۡ يَرۡحَمۡنَا رَبُّنَا وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ١٤٩
Saheeh International
And when regret overcame them and they saw that they had gone astray, they said, "If our Lord does not have mercy upon us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers."
( ولما سقط في أيديهم ) أي ندموا على عبادة العجل ، تقول العرب لكل نادم على أمر : قد سقط في يديه ، ( ورأوا أنهم قد ضلوا قالوا لئن لم يرحمنا ربنا ) يتب علينا ربنا ، ( ويغفر لنا ) يتجاوز عنا ، ( لنكونن من الخاسرين ) قرأ حمزة والكسائي : " ترحمنا وتغفر لنا " بالتاء فيهما " ربنا " بنصب الباء . وكان هذا الندم والاستغفار منهم بعد رجوع موسى إليهم .
