أَوَلَمْيَهْدِلِلَّذِينَيَرِثُونَٱلْأَرْضَمِنۢبَعْدِأَهْلِهَآأَنلَّوْنَشَآءُأَصَبْنَٰهُمبِذُنُوبِهِمْوَنَطْبَعُعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِمْفَهُمْلَايَسْمَعُونَ ١٠٠

Saheeh International

Has it not become clear to those who inherited the earth after its [previous] people that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

قوله تعالى أولم يهد للذين يرثون الأرض من بعد أهلها أن لو نشاء أصبناهم بذنوبهم ونطبع على قلوبهم فهم لا يسمعونقوله تعالى أولم يهد أي يبين . للذين يرثون الأرض من بعد أهلها يريد كفار مكة ومن حولهم .أن لو نشاء أصبناهم أي أخذناهم بذنوبهم أي بكفرهم وتكذيبهم .ونطبع أي ونحن نطبع ; فهو مستأنف . وقيل : هو معطوف على " أصبنا " أي نصيبهم ونطبع ، فوقع الماضي موقع المستقبل .
