68:49
لَّوْلَآأَنتَدَٰرَكَهُۥنِعْمَةٌمِّنرَّبِّهِۦلَنُبِذَبِٱلْعَرَآءِوَهُوَمَذْمُومٌ ٤٩

Saheeh International

If not that a favor from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (BN)

[১] অর্থাৎ, আল্লাহ তাআলা যদি অনুগ্রহপূর্বক তাকে তওবা ও মুনাজাতের তওফীক দান না করতেন এবং তার প্রার্থনা মঞ্জুর না করতেন, তাহলে তাকে সমুদ্র তীরে নিক্ষেপ করতেন না; যেখানে তার ছায়ার ও খোরাকের জন্য লতাবিশিষ্ট গাছ উৎপন্ন করে দিয়েছিলেন। বরং (তিমি মাছের পেটেই রেখে দিতেন অথবা) কোন গাছ-পালাহীন তীরে নিক্ষেপ করতেন এবং সে আল্লাহর নিকট নিন্দিতই থাকত। পক্ষান্তরে দু'আ মঞ্জুর হওয়ার পর সে প্রশংসিত বিবেচিত হল।
