59:17
فَكَانَعَٰقِبَتَهُمَآأَنَّهُمَافِىٱلنَّارِخَٰلِدَيْنِفِيهَاوَذَٰلِكَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ١٧

Saheeh International

So the outcome for both of them is that they will be in the Fire, abiding eternally therein. And that is the recompense of the wrong-doers.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

فكان عاقبتهما أي عاقبة الشيطان وذلك الإنسانأنهما في النار خالدين فيها نصب على الحال . والتثنية ظاهرة فيمن جعل الآية مخصوصة في الراهب والشيطان . ومن جعلها في الجنس فالمعنى : وكان عاقبة الفريقين أو الصنفين . ونصب عاقبتهما على أنه خبر كان . والاسم أنهما في النار ، وقرأ الحسن " فكان عاقبتهما " بالرفع على الضد من ذلك . وقرأ الأعمش " خالدان فيها " بالرفع وذلك خلاف المرسوم . ورفعه على أنه خبر " أن " والظرف ملغى .
