49:3
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَغُضُّونَأَصْوَٰتَهُمْعِندَرَسُولِٱللَّهِأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَٱمْتَحَنَٱللَّهُقُلُوبَهُمْلِلتَّقْوَىٰلَهُممَّغْفِرَةٌوَأَجْرٌعَظِيمٌ ٣

Saheeh International

Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward.

Tafseer 'Ibn Kathir' (AR)

أي أخلصها لها وجعلها أهلا ومحلا" لهم مغفرة وأجر غطيم" وقد قال الإمام أحمد في كتاب الزهد حدثنا عبدالرحمن حدثنا سفيان عن منصور عن مجاهد قال كتب إلى عمر يا أمير المؤمنين رجل لا يشتهي المعصية ولا يعمل بها أفضل أم رجل يشتهي المعصية ولا يعمل بها؟ فكتب عمر رضي الله عنه إن الذين يشتهون المعصية ولا يعملون بها "أولئك الذين امتحن الله قلوبهم للتقوى لهم مغفرة وأجر عظيم".
