لَقَدْجِئْنَٰكُمبِٱلْحَقِّوَلَٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَكُمْلِلْحَقِّكَٰرِهُونَ ٧٨

Saheeh International

We had certainly brought you the truth, but most of you, to the truth, were averse.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

قوله تعالى : لقد جئناكم بالحق ولكن أكثركم للحق كارهون .يحتمل أن يكون هذا من قول مالك لهم ، أي : إنكم ماكثون في النار لأنا جئناكم في الدنيا بالحق فلم تقبلوا . ويحتمل أن يكون من كلام الله لهم اليوم ، أي : بينا لكم الأدلة وأرسلنا إليكم الرسل . ( ولكن أكثركم ) قال ابن عباس : ( ولكن أكثركم ) أي : ولكن كلكم . وقيل : أراد بالكثرة الرؤساء والقادة منهم ، وأما الأتباع فما كان لهم أثر ، ( للحق ) أي : للإسلام ودين الله كارهون
