فَلَمَّاكَشَفْنَاعَنْهُمُٱلْعَذَابَإِذَاهُمْيَنكُثُونَ ٥٠

Saheeh International

But when We removed from them the affliction, at once they broke their word.

Tafseer 'Tanweer Tafseer' (AR)

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنْكُثُونَ (50)أي تفرع على تضرعهم ووَعْدِهم بالاهتداء إذا كُشف عنهم العذاب أنهم نكثوا الوعد .والنكْث : نقض الحبل المبرم ، وتقدم في قوله : { فلما كشفنا عنهم الرجْزَ إلى أجل هم بَالِغُوه إذا هم ينكثون } في سورة الأعراف ( 135 ) ، وهو مجاز في الخيس بالعهد .والكلام على تركيب هذه الجملة مثل الكلام على قوله آنفاً { فلما جاءهم بآياتنا إذا هم منها يضحكون } [ الزخرف : 47 ] .
