42:37
وَٱلَّذِينَيَجْتَنِبُونَكَبَٰٓئِرَٱلْإِثْمِوَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَوَإِذَامَاغَضِبُوا۟هُمْيَغْفِرُونَ ٣٧

Saheeh International

And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive,

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (UR)

اور کبیرہ گناہوں سے اور بےحیائیوں سے بچتے ہیں اور غصے کے وقت (بھی) معاف کر دیتے ہیں (١) ٣٧۔١ یعنی لوگوں سے عفو و درگزر کرنا ان کے مزاج و طبیعت کا حصہ ہے نہ کہ انتقام اور بدلہ لینا جس طرح نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بارے میں آتا ہے ' نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی ذات کے لئے کبھی بدلہ نہیں لیا، ہاں اللہ تعالٰی کی حرمتوں کا توڑا جانا آپ کے لئے ناقابل برداشت تھا۔
