39:74
وَقَالُوا۟ٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِٱلَّذِىصَدَقَنَاوَعْدَهُۥوَأَوْرَثَنَاٱلْأَرْضَنَتَبَوَّأُمِنَٱلْجَنَّةِحَيْثُنَشَآءُفَنِعْمَأَجْرُٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ ٧٤

Saheeh International

And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has fulfilled for us His promise and made us inherit the earth [so] we may settle in Paradise wherever we will. And excellent is the reward of [righteous] workers."

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

وقالوا الحمد لله الذي صدقنا وعده أي إذا دخلوا الجنة قالوا هذا . وأورثنا الأرض نتبوأ من الجنة حيث نشاء أي أرض الجنة . قيل : إنهم ورثوا الأرض التي كانت تكون لأهل النار لو كانوا مؤمنين ، قاله أبو العالية وأبو صالح وقتادة والسدي وأكثر المفسرين . وقيل : إنها أرض الدنيا على التقديم والتأخير . فنعم أجر العاملين قيل : هو من [ ص: 256 ] قولهم أي : نعم الثواب هذا . وقيل : هو من قول الله تعالى ، أي : نعم ثواب المحسنين هذا الذي أعطيتهم .
