39:60
وَيَوْمَٱلْقِيَٰمَةِتَرَىٱلَّذِينَكَذَبُوا۟عَلَىٱللَّهِوُجُوهُهُممُّسْوَدَّةٌأَلَيْسَفِىجَهَنَّمَمَثْوًىلِّلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ ٦٠

Saheeh International

And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allah [with] their faces blackened. Is there not in Hell a residence for the arrogant?

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

قوله تعالى : ويوم القيامة ترى الذين كذبوا على الله وجوههم مسودة أي مما حاط بهم من غضب الله ونقمته . وقال الأخفش : " ترى " غير عامل في قوله : وجوههم مسودة إنما هو ابتداء وخبر . الزمخشري : جملة في موضع الحال إن كان ترى من رؤية البصر ، ومفعول ثان إن كان من رؤية القلب .أليس في جهنم مثوى للمتكبرين بين رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - معنى الكبر فقال - عليه السلام - : سفه الحق وغمط الناس . أي : احتقارهم . وقد مضى في [ البقرة ] وغيرها . وفي حديث عبد الله بن عمرو عن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - : يحشر المتكبرون يوم القيامة كالذر يلحقهم الصغار حتى يؤتى بهم إلى سجن جهنم .
