39:55
وَٱتَّبِعُوٓا۟أَحْسَنَمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْكُممِّنرَّبِّكُممِّنقَبْلِأَنيَأْتِيَكُمُٱلْعَذَابُبَغْتَةًوَأَنتُمْلَاتَشْعُرُونَ ٥٥

Saheeh International

And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive,

Tafseer 'Ibn Kathir' (EN)

وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم

And follow the best of that which is sent down to you from your Lord,

means, the Qur'an.

مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ العَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ

before the torment comes on you suddenly while you perceive not!

means, without you realizing it
