39:45
وَإِذَاذُكِرَٱللَّهُوَحْدَهُٱشْمَأَزَّتْقُلُوبُٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱلْءَاخِرَةِوَإِذَاذُكِرَٱلَّذِينَمِندُونِهِۦٓإِذَاهُمْيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ٤٥

Saheeh International

And when Allah is mentioned alone, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when those [worshipped] other than Him are mentioned, immediately they rejoice.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

قوله تعالى وإذا ذكر الله وحده نصب على المصدر عند الخليل وسيبويه ، وعلى الحال عند يونس . " اشمأزت " قال المبرد : انقبضت . وهو قول ابن عباس ومجاهد . وقال قتادة : نفرت واستكبرت وكفرت وتعصت . وقال المؤرج : أنكرت . وأصل الاشمئزاز النفور والازورار . قال عمرو بن كلثوم :إذا عض الثقاف بها اشمأزت وولتهم عشوزنة زبوناوقال أبو زيد : اشمأز الرجل ذعر من الفزع وهو المذعور . وكان المشركون إذا قيل لهم " لا إله إلا الله " نفروا وكفروا . وإذا ذكر الذين من دونه يعني الأوثان حين ألقى الشيطان في أمنية النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - عند قراءته سورة [ النجم ] تلك الغرانيق العلى وإن شفاعتهم ترتجى . قاله جماعة المفسرين . إذا هم يستبشرون أي يظهر في وجوههم البشر والسرور .
