ٱلَّذِينَيَسْتَمِعُونَٱلْقَوْلَفَيَتَّبِعُونَأَحْسَنَهُۥٓأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَهَدَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُوَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَهُمْأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ ١٨

Saheeh International

Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (UR)

جو بات کو کان لگا کر سنتے ہیں۔ پھر جو بہترین بات ہو (١) اس پر عمل کرتے ہیں۔ یہی ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے ہدایت کی اور یہی عقلمند بھی ہیں (٢) ١٨۔١ اَحسَنُ سے مراد محکم اور پختہ بات، یا سب سے اچھی بات، یا عقوبیت کے مقابلے میں درگزر اختیار کرتے ہیں۔ ١٨۔٢ کیونکہ انہوں نے اپنی عقل سے فائدہ اٹھایا ہے، جب کہ دوسروں نے اپنی عقلوں سے فائدہ نہیں اٹھایا۔
