30:42
قُلْسِيرُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِفَٱنظُرُوا۟كَيْفَكَانَعَٰقِبَةُٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلُكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّشْرِكِينَ ٤٢

Saheeh International

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah ].

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ibn Kathir' (IN)

Kemudian Allah Swt. berfirman dalam ayat selanjutnya:

Katakanlah, "Adakanlah perjalanan di muka bumi dan perhatikanlah bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang yang dahulu. (Ar Ruum:42)

Yaitu orang-orang dahulu sebelum kalian.

Kebanyakan dari mereka itu adalah orang-orang yang mempersekutukan (Allah).” (Ar Ruum:42)

Maka lihatlah apa yang telah menimpa mereka disebabkan mendustakan para rasul dan mengingkari nikmat-nikmat Allah.
