2:65
وَلَقَدْعَلِمْتُمُٱلَّذِينَٱعْتَدَوْا۟مِنكُمْفِىٱلسَّبْتِفَقُلْنَالَهُمْكُونُوا۟قِرَدَةًخَٰسِـِٔينَ ٦٥

Saheeh International

And you had already known about those who transgressed among you concerning the sabbath, and We said to them, "Be apes, despised."

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (UR)

اور یقیناً تمہیں ان لوگوں کا علم بھی ہے جو تم (١) میں سے ہفتہ کے بارے میں حد سے بڑھ گئے اور ہم نے بھی کہہ دیا کہ تم ذلیل بندر بن جاؤ۔ ٦٥۔١سبت (ہفتہ) کے دن یہودیوں کو مچھلی کا شکار بلکہ کوئی بھی دنیاوی کام کرنے سے منع کیا گیا تھا لیکن انہوں نے ایک حیلہ اختیار کر کے حکم الٰہی سے تجاوز کیا۔ ہفتے کے دن (بطور امتحان) مچھلیاں زیادہ آتیں انہوں نے گڑھے کھود لئے، تاکہ مچھلیاں اس میں پھنسی رہیں اور پھر اتوار کے دن ان کو پکڑ لیتے۔
