وَقَٰتِلُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِٱلَّذِينَيُقَٰتِلُونَكُمْوَلَاتَعْتَدُوٓا۟إِنَّٱللَّهَلَايُحِبُّٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ ١٩٠

Saheeh International

Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (BN)

[১] এই আয়াতে প্রথমবার সেই লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করার অনুমতি দেওয়া হয়েছে, যারা মুসলিমদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রস্তুত ছিল। আর 'বাড়াবাড়ি করো না'র অর্থ হল, শত্রুর আঙ্গিক বিকৃতি ঘটায়ো না, মহিলা, শিশু এবং এমন বৃদ্ধকে হত্যা করো না, যে যুদ্ধে কোন প্রকার অংশগ্রহণ করেনি। অনুরূপ গাছ-পালা বা ফসলাদি জ্বালিয়ে দেওয়া এবং কোন অভীষ্ট লাভ ছাড়াই পশু-হত্যা করা ইত্যাদিও বাড়াবাড়ি বলে গণ্য হবে, যা থেকে বিরত থাকতে হবে। (ইবনে কাসীর)
