Al-'Ankabut : 39

29:39
وَقَٰرُونَوَفِرْعَوْنَوَهَٰمَٰنَوَلَقَدْجَآءَهُممُّوسَىٰبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِفَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِوَمَاكَانُوا۟سَٰبِقِينَ ٣٩

Saheeh International

And [We destroyed] Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not outrunners [of Our punishment].

Tafseer 'Tabari Tafseer' (AR)

القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : وَقَارُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مُوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ (39)يقول تعالى ذكره: واذكر يا محمد، قارون وفرعون وهامان، ولقد جاء جميعهم موسى بالبيِّنات، يعني بالواضحات من الآيات، ( فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الأرْضِ ) عن التصديق من الآيات، وعن اتباع موسى صلوات الله عليه ( وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ ) يقول تعالى ذكره: وما كانوا سابقينا بأنفسهم، فيفوتوننا، بل كنا مقتدرين عليهم.
