29:38
وَعَادًاوَثَمُودَا۟وَقَدتَّبَيَّنَلَكُممِّنمَّسَٰكِنِهِمْوَزَيَّنَلَهُمُٱلشَّيْطَٰنُأَعْمَٰلَهُمْفَصَدَّهُمْعَنِٱلسَّبِيلِوَكَانُوا۟مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ ٣٨
Saheeh International
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception.
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Tafseer 'Tafsir Ibn Kathir' (IN)
Allah Swt. menceritakan tentang umat-umat yang mendustakan rasul-rasul, bahwa Allah telah membinasakan mereka dengan berbagai macam azab sebagai pembalasan Allah Swt. terhadap mereka.
'Ad adalah kaum Nabi Hud a.s. Mereka tinggal di daerah Ahqaf (bukit-bukit pasir) yang letaknya dekat dengan Hadramaut di negeri Yaman. Samud adalah kaum Nabi Saleh, mereka tinggal di kota Al-Hijr yang letaknya dekat dengan Wadil Qura. Orang-orang Arab mengenal benar tempat-tempat tinggal mereka karena mereka biasa melaluinya dalam perjalanan niaga mereka.
