28:43
وَلَقَدْءَاتَيْنَامُوسَىٱلْكِتَٰبَمِنۢبَعْدِمَآأَهْلَكْنَاٱلْقُرُونَٱلْأُولَىٰبَصَآئِرَلِلنَّاسِوَهُدًىوَرَحْمَةًلَّعَلَّهُمْيَتَذَكَّرُونَ ٤٣

Saheeh International

And We gave Moses the Scripture, after We had destroyed the former generations, as enlightenment for the people and guidance and mercy that they might be reminded.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (UR)

اور ان اگلے زمانے والوں کو ہلاک کرنے کے بعد ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کو ایسی کتاب عنایت فرمائی (١) جو لوگوں کے لئے دلیل اور ہدایت و رحمت ہو کر آئی تھی (٢) تاکہ وہ نصیحت حاصل کرلیں (٣) ٤٣۔١ یعنی فرعون اور اس کی قوم یا نوح و عاد و ثمود وغیرہ قوم کی ہلاکت کے بعد موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو کتاب (تورات) دی۔ ٤٣۔٢ جس سے وہ حق کو پہچان لیں اور اسے اختیار کریں اور اللہ کی رحمت کے مستحق قرار پائیں۔ ٤٣۔٣ یعنی اللہ کی نعمتوں کا شکر ادا کریں اور اللہ پر ایمان لائیں اور اس کے پیغمبروں کی اطاعت کریں جو انہیں خیر و رشد اور فلاح حقیقی کی طرف بلاتے ہیں۔
