قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىظَلَمْتُنَفْسِىفَٱغْفِرْلِىفَغَفَرَلَهُۥٓإِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلْغَفُورُٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٦

Saheeh International

He said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, so forgive me," and He forgave him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

Tafseer 'Waseet Tafseer' (AR)

ثم أضاف إلى هذا الندم والاسترجاع ، ندما واستغفارا آخر فقال : ( رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فاغفر لِي فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ) .أى : قال موسى - عليه السلام - بعد قتله القبطى بدون قصد - مكررا الندم والاستغفار : يا رب إنى ظلمت نفسى ، بتلك الضربة التى ترتب عليها الموت ، فاغفر لى ذنبى ، ( فَغَفَرَ ) الله - تعالى ( لَهُ ) ذنبه ، ( إِنَّهُ ) - سبحانه - ( هُوَ الغفور الرحيم ).
