27:46
قَالَيَٰقَوْمِلِمَتَسْتَعْجِلُونَبِٱلسَّيِّئَةِقَبْلَٱلْحَسَنَةِلَوْلَاتَسْتَغْفِرُونَٱللَّهَلَعَلَّكُمْتُرْحَمُونَ ٤٦

Saheeh International

He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allah that you may receive mercy?"

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ibn Kathir' (IN)

Adapun firman Allah Swt.:

Dia berkata, "Hai kaumku, mengapa kalian minta disegerakan keburukan sebelum (kalian minta) kebaikan?” (An Naml:46)

Maksudnya, mengapa kalian meminta agar disegerakan datangnya azab dan mengapa kalian tidak meminta dari Allah akan rahmat-Nya? Karena itulah dalam firman selanjutnya disebutkan:

"Hendaklah kalian meminta ampun kepada Allah, agar kalian mendapat rahmat.'' Mereka menjawab, ‘Kami mendapat nasib yang malang karena kamu, dan orang-orang yang besertamu.” (An Naml:46-47)
