إِلَّاعَجُوزًافِىٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ ١٧١

Saheeh International

Except an old woman among those who remained behind.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

إلا عجوزا في الغابرين روى سعيد عن قتادة قال : غبرت في عذاب الله عز وجل أي بقيت . وأبو عبيدة يذهب إلى أن المعنى من الباقين في الهرم أي بقيت حتى هرمت . قال النحاس : يقال للذاهب : غابر والباقي غابر كما قال [ العجاج ] :لا تكسع الشول بأغبارها إنك لا تدري من الناتج [ ص: 124 ] وكما قال : [ هو الحارث بن حلزة ]فما ونى محمد مذ أن غفر له الإله ما مضى وما غبر أي ما بقي . والأغبار : بقيات الألبان .
