Al-Furqan : 60

25:60
وَإِذَاقِيلَلَهُمُٱسْجُدُوا۟لِلرَّحْمَٰنِقَالُوا۟وَمَاٱلرَّحْمَٰنُأَنَسْجُدُلِمَاتَأْمُرُنَاوَزَادَهُمْنُفُورًا۩ ٦٠

Saheeh International

And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (BN)

[১] رحمن و رحيم (রাহমান ও রাহীম) আল্লাহর সুন্দর গুণ ও নামাবলীর মধ্যে দু'টি গুণবাচক নাম। কিন্তু জাহেলী যুগের লোকেরা আল্লাহকে উক্ত নামে চিনত না। যেমন হুদাইবিয়ার সন্ধিপত্র লেখার সময় শুরুতে بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم লেখা হলে মক্কার মুশরিকরা বলেছিল, আমরা রাহমান ও রাহীমকে জানি না। باسمك اللّهم লেখ। (সীরাতে ইবনে হিশাম ২/৩১৭) আরো দেখুন সূরা বানী ইস্রাঈল ১৭:১১০ এবং সূরা রা'দ ১৩:৩০ নং আয়াত; এখানেও কাফেরদের 'রাহমান' নাম শুনে চমকে যাওয়া ও সিজদা করতে অস্বীকার করার কথা বর্ণিত হয়েছে। (এই আয়াত পাঠ করার পর সিজদা করা মুস্তাহাব। সিজদার আহকাম জানতে সূরা আ'রাফের শেষ আয়াতের ৭:২০৬ টীকা দেখুন। -সম্পাদক)
