مَا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَــۡٔخِرُونَ٤٣
Saheeh International
No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter].
مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ (43)والسبق : تجاوز السائر وتركه مُسائرَه خلفه ، وعكسه التأخر . والمعنى واضح . والسين والتاء في { يستأخرون } زائدتان للتأكيد مثل : استجاب . وضمير { يستأخرون } عائد إلى { أمة } باعتبار الناس .
