قَالَأَفَتَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِمَالَايَنفَعُكُمْشَيْـًٔاوَلَايَضُرُّكُمْ ٦٦
Saheeh International
He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?

Tafseer 'Tafsir Kemenag RI' (IN)
(66) Allah menerangkan dalam ayat ini, bahwa setelah mereka mengakui bahwa patung-patung itu tidak dapat mendengar, berpikir dan berbicara, maka Ibrahim segera menjawab dengan mengatakan mengapa mereka menyembah selain Allah sesuatu yang tidak dapat memberi manfaat sedikitpun, dan tidak pula dapat mendatangkan mudarat kepada mereka, bahkan ia tidak dapat berbicara dan mempertahankan diri.
