21:46
وَلَئِنمَّسَّتْهُمْنَفْحَةٌمِّنْعَذَابِرَبِّكَلَيَقُولُنَّيَٰوَيْلَنَآإِنَّاكُنَّاظَٰلِمِينَ ٤٦

Saheeh International

And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

قوله تعالى : ولئن مستهم نفحة من عذاب ربك قال ابن عباس : طرف . قال قتادة : عقوبة . ابن كيسان : قليل وأدنى شيء ؛ مأخوذة من نفح المسك . قال [ قيس بن الخطيم ] :وعمرة من سروات النساء تنفح بالمسك أردانهاابن جريج : نصيب ؛ كما يقال : نفح فلان لفلان من عطائه ، إذا أعطاه نصيبا من المال . قال الشاعر [ الرماح بن ميادة ] :لما أتيتك أرجو فضل نائلكم نفحتني نفحة طابت لها العربأي طابت لها النفس . والنفحة في اللغة الدفعة اليسيرة ؛ فالمعنى ولئن مسهم أقل شيء من العذاب . ليقولن يا ويلنا إنا كنا ظالمين أي متعدين فيعترفون حين لا ينفعهم الاعتراف .
