لَوْأَرَدْنَآأَننَّتَّخِذَلَهْوًالَّٱتَّخَذْنَٰهُمِنلَّدُنَّآإِنكُنَّافَٰعِلِينَ ١٧

Saheeh International

Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (UR)

اگر ہم یوں ہی کھیل تماشے کا ارادہ کرتے تو اسے اپنے پاس سے ہی بنا (١) لیتے، اگر ہم کرنے والے ہی ہوتے (٢)۔ ١٧۔ ١ یعنی اپنے پاس سے ہی کچھ چیزیں کھیل کے لئے بنا لیتے اور اپنا شوق پورا کر لیتے۔ اتنی لمبی چوڑی کائنات بنانے کی اور پھر میں ذی روح اور ذی شعور مخلوق بنانے کی کیا ضرورت تھی؟ ١٧۔٢ ' اگر ہم کرنے والے ہی ہوتے ' عربی اسلوب کے اعتبار سے یہ زیادہ ہے بہ نسبت اس ترجمہ کے کہ ' ہم کرنے والے ہی نہیں ' صحیح ہے (فتح القدیر)
