وَمَآأَعْجَلَكَعَنقَوْمِكَيَٰمُوسَىٰ ٨٣
Saheeh International
[ Allah ] said, "And what made you hasten from your people, O Moses?"

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ibn Kathir' (IN)
Setelah Musa berjalan membawa Bani Israil seusai binasanya Fir'aun, disebutkan oleh firman-Nya:
maka setelah mereka sampai kepada suatu kaum yang tetap menyembah berhala mereka. Bani Israil berkata, "Hai Musa, buatlah untuk kami sebuah tuhan (berhala) sebagaimana mereka mempunyai tuhan (berhala).”Musa menjawab, "Sesungguhnya kalian ini adalah kaum yang tidak mengetahui (sifat-sifat Tuhan).” Sesungguhnya mereka itu akan dihancurkan kepercayaan yang dianutnya dan akan batallah apa yang selalu mereka kerjakan. (Al A'raf:138-139)
