16:93
وَلَوْشَآءَٱللَّهُلَجَعَلَكُمْأُمَّةًوَٰحِدَةًوَلَٰكِنيُضِلُّمَنيَشَآءُوَيَهْدِىمَنيَشَآءُوَلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّعَمَّاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ ٩٣

Saheeh International

And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

قوله تعالى : ولو شاء الله لجعلكم أمة واحدة ولكن يضل من يشاء ويهدي من يشاء ولتسألن عما كنتم تعملون ولو شاء الله لجعلكم أمة واحدة أي على ملة واحدة .ولكن يضل من يشاء بخذلانه إياهم ; عدلا منه فيهم .ويهدي من يشاء بتوفيقه إياهم ; فضلا منه عليهم ، ولا يسأل عما يفعل بل تسألون أنتم . والآية ترد على أهل القدر كما تقدم .واللام في وليبينن ولتسئلن مع النون المشددة يدلان على قسم مضمر ، أي والله ليبينن لكم ولتسئلن .
