ٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِٱلَّذِىوَهَبَلِىعَلَىٱلْكِبَرِإِسْمَٰعِيلَوَإِسْحَٰقَإِنَّرَبِّىلَسَمِيعُٱلدُّعَآءِ ٣٩

Saheeh International

Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ibn Kathir' (IN)

Nabi Ibrahim dalam doanya mengucapkan pujian kepada Tuhannya atas anak yang dianugerahkan kepadanya di saat ia telah berusia lanjut, seperti yang disitir oleh firman berikut:

Segala puji bagi Allah, yang telah menganugerahkan kepadaku di hari tua(ku) Ismail dan Ishaq. Sesungguhnya Tuhanku benar-benar Maha Mendengar (memperkenankan) doa.

Yakni Dia memperkenankan (mengabulkan) doa orang yang memohon kepada-Nya,.dan sesunggguhnya Dia telah mengabulkan permintaanku, yaitu mempunyai anak.
