قَالُوا۟جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥمَنوُجِدَفِىرَحْلِهِۦفَهُوَجَزَٰٓؤُهُۥكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ٧٥
Saheeh International
[The brothers] said, "Its recompense is that he in whose bag it is found - he [himself] will be its recompense. Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers."

Tafseer 'Tafsir Kemenag RI' (IN)
(75) Mereka menjawab, "Balasannya ialah siapa saja yang ditemukan piala itu di dalam karungnya, maka dialah pencurinya dan harus bersedia menerima akibatnya." Syariat yang berlaku menurut agama yang dibawa Nabi Yakub ialah si pencuri dijadikan hamba sahaya oleh orang yang kecurian selama satu tahun. Demikianlah Allah membalas kejahatan orang-orang yang zalim.
