قَالُوا۟فَمَاجَزَٰٓؤُهُۥٓإِنكُنتُمْكَٰذِبِينَ ٧٤

Saheeh International

The accusers said, "Then what would be its recompense if you should be liars?"

Tafseer 'Tabari Tafseer' (AR)

القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : قَالُوا فَمَا جَزَاؤُهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ كَاذِبِينَ (74)قال أبو جعفر: يقول تعالى ذكره: قال أصحاب يوسف لإخوته: فما ثواب السَّرَق إن كنتم كاذبين في قولكم (13) مَا جِئْنَا لِنُفْسِدَ فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَا كُنَّا سَارِقِينَ ؟ .----------------------الهوامش:(13) " السرق" ( بفتحتين ) ، ومصدره فعل السارق . وسوف يسمى" المسروق"" سرقًا" ، بعد قليل ، وهو صحيح في العربية جيد . وهكذا كان يقوله أئمة الفقهاء القدماء .
