قَالُوا۟يَٰهُودُمَاجِئْتَنَابِبَيِّنَةٍوَمَانَحْنُبِتَارِكِىٓءَالِهَتِنَاعَنقَوْلِكَوَمَانَحْنُلَكَبِمُؤْمِنِينَ ٥٣

Saheeh International

They said, "O Hud, you have not brought us clear evidence, and we are not ones to leave our gods on your say-so. Nor are we believers in you.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan' (UR)

انہوں نے کہا اے ہود! تو ہمارے پاس کوئی دلیل تو لایا نہیں اور ہم صرف تیرے کہنے سے اپنے معبودوں کو چھوڑنے والے نہیں اور نہ ہم تجھ پر ایمان لانے والے ہیں (١) ٥٣۔١ ایک نبی دلائل و براہین کی پوری قوت اپنے ساتھ رکھتا ہے لیکن شپرہ چشموں کو وہ نظر نہیں آتے قوم ہود علیہ السلام نے بھی اسی ڈھٹائی کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ہم بغیر دلیل کے محض تیرے کہنے سے اپنے معبودوں کو کس طرح چھوڑیں؟
