وَنَادَىٰنُوحٌرَّبَّهُۥفَقَالَرَبِّإِنَّٱبْنِىمِنْأَهْلِىوَإِنَّوَعْدَكَٱلْحَقُّوَأَنتَأَحْكَمُٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ ٤٥

Saheeh International

And Noah called to his Lord and said, "My Lord, indeed my son is of my family; and indeed, Your promise is true; and You are the most just of judges!"

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ibn Kathir' (IN)

Sebuah permintaan yang penuh dengan rasa berserah diri dan kejujuran dari Nuh a.s. tentang keadaan anaknya yang ditenggelamkan:

Nuh berkata, "Ya Tuhanku, sesungguhnya anakku termasuk keluargaku."

Maksudnya, sedangkan Engkau telah menjanjikan kepadaku keselamatan seluruh keluargaku, dan janji-Mu adalah benar, tidak akan diingkari, maka mengapa Engkau menenggelamkannya. Dan Engkau adalah Hakim yang seadil-adilnya.
