11:102
وَكَذَٰلِكَأَخْذُرَبِّكَإِذَآأَخَذَٱلْقُرَىٰوَهِىَظَٰلِمَةٌإِنَّأَخْذَهُۥٓأَلِيمٌشَدِيدٌ ١٠٢

Saheeh International

And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.

Tafseer 'Tafsir Ibn Kathir' (IN)

Allah Swt. berfirman, "Sebagaimana Kami telah membinasakan umat-umat terdahulu yang telah berbuat aniaya lagi mendustakan rasul-rasul Kami, maka Kami pun melakukan hal yang serupa terhadap orang-orang yang sama dengan mereka."

Sesungguhnya azab-Nya itu adalah sangat pedih lagi keras.

Di dalam kitab Sahihain disebutkan dari Abu Musa r.a. yang mengatakan bahwa Rasulullah Saw. pernah bersabda:

Sesungguhnya Allah benar-benar mencatat (dosa orang) yang zalim, hingga manakala Dia mengazab-Nya, maka tidak akan dapat menyelamatkan dirinya dari azab Allah. Kemudian Rasulullah Saw. membacakan firman-Nya:

Dan begitulah azab Tuhanmu, apabila Dia mengazab penduduk negeri-negeri yang berbuat zalim., hingga akhir ayat.
