وَكَذَٰلِكَأَخْذُرَبِّكَإِذَآأَخَذَٱلْقُرَىٰوَهِىَظَٰلِمَةٌإِنَّأَخْذَهُۥٓأَلِيمٌشَدِيدٌ ١٠٢

Saheeh International

And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.

Tafseer 'Tanweer Tafseer' (AR)

الإشارة إلى المذكور من استئصال تلك القرى . وهو ما يدل عليه قوله : { أخذ ربك }. والتقدير : وكذلك الأخذ الذي أخذنا به تلك القرى أخذ ربك إذا أخذ القرى . والتشبيه في الكيفيّة والعاقبة .والمقصود من هذا التّذييل تعريض بتهديد مشركي العرب من أهل مكّة وغيرها .والظلم : الشرك . وجملة { إنّ أخذه أليم شديد } في موضع البيان لمضمون { وكذلك أخذ ربّك }. وفيه إشارة إلى وجه الشّبه .
