وَيَسْتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَأَحَقٌّهُوَقُلْإِىوَرَبِّىٓإِنَّهُۥلَحَقٌّوَمَآأَنتُمبِمُعْجِزِينَ ٥٣

Saheeh International

And they ask information of you, [O Muhammad], "Is it true?" Say, "Yes, by my Lord. Indeed, it is truth; and you will not cause failure [to Allah ]."

Tafseer 'Qurtubi Tafseer' (AR)

قوله تعالى ويستنبئونك أحق هو قل إي وربي إنه لحق وما أنتم بمعجزينقوله تعالى ويستنبئونك أي يستخبرونك يا محمد عن كون العذاب وقيام الساعة .أحق ابتداء . هو سد مسد الخبر ; وهذا قول سيبويه . ويجوز أن يكون هو مبتدأ ، و أحق خبره .قل إي ، إي كلمة تحقيق وإيجاب وتأكيد بمعنى نعم .وربي قسم . إنه لحق جوابه ، أي كائن لا شك فيه .وما أنتم بمعجزين أي فائتين عن عذابه ومجازاته .
