وَيَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِمَالَايَضُرُّهُمْوَلَايَنفَعُهُمْوَيَقُولُونَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِشُفَعَٰٓؤُنَاعِندَٱللَّهِقُلْأَتُنَبِّـُٔونَٱللَّهَبِمَالَايَعْلَمُفِىٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِوَلَافِىٱلْأَرْضِسُبْحَٰنَهُۥوَتَعَٰلَىٰعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ ١٨

Saheeh International

And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah " Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him

Tafseer 'Ibn Kathir Full' (BN)

(আরবী) আল্লাহ পাকের এই উক্তির ভাবার্থ এই যে, আল্লাহ তাআলা কাউকেও শাস্তি দেন না যে পর্যন্ত তিনি তার কাছে নবী পাঠিয়ে দলীল ও হুজ্জত কায়েম করেন। আল্লাহ তা'আলা তো মাখলুককে একটা নির্ধারিত সময় পর্যন্ত জীবিত রেখে পরে মৃত্যু দান করে থাকেন। আর যে ব্যাপারে তারা পরস্পর মতভেদ করছিল, কিয়ামতের দিন তিনি তার ফায়সালা করে দিবেন। সেই দিনই মুমিনরা সফলকাম হবে, আর কাফিররা হবে লাঞ্ছিত ও অপমানিত।
