Surah Al Alaq
Ayah-19, Makkah
96:13
أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ١٣
Saheeh International
Have you seen if he denies and turns away -
96:14
أَلَمۡ يَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ١٤
Saheeh International
Does he not know that Allah sees?
96:15
كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ١٥
Saheeh International
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock -
96:16
نَاصِيَةٍ كَٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ١٦
Saheeh International
A lying, sinning forelock.
96:17
فَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهُۥ١٧
Saheeh International
Then let him call his associates;
96:18
سَنَدۡعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ١٨
Saheeh International
We will call the angels of Hell.
96:19
كَلَّا لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَٱسۡجُدۡ وَٱقۡتَرِب١٩
Saheeh International
No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah ].
Surah Al Qadr
Ayah-5, Makkah
97:1
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِى لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ١
Saheeh International
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
97:2
وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ٢
Saheeh International
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
97:3
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٍ٣
Saheeh International
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
97:4
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٍ٤
Saheeh International
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
97:5
سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ٥
Saheeh International
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
Surah Al Bayyinah
Ayah-8, Madinah
98:1
لَمۡ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواۡ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ١
Saheeh International
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence -
98:2
رَسُولٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ يَتۡلُواۡ صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً٢
Saheeh International
A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures
98:3
فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ٣
Saheeh International
Within which are correct writings.
98:4
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواۡ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ٤
Saheeh International
Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence.
98:5
وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓاۡ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُواۡ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُواۡ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُواۡ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمَةِ٥
Saheeh International
And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion.
