Surah Al Fajr
Ayah-30, Makkah
89:23
وَجِاۡىٓءَ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ يَوۡمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ٢٣
Saheeh International
And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?
89:24
يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِى قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَيَاتِى٢٤
Saheeh International
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
89:25
فَيَوۡمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ٢٥
Saheeh International
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
89:26
وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ٢٦
Saheeh International
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].
89:27
يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ٢٧
Saheeh International
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,
89:28
ٱرۡجِعِىٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرۡضِيَّةً٢٨
Saheeh International
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],
89:29
فَٱدۡخُلِى فِى عِبَٰدِى٢٩
Saheeh International
And enter among My [righteous] servants
89:30
وَٱدۡخُلِى جَنَّتِى٣٠
Saheeh International
And enter My Paradise."
Surah Al Balad
Ayah-20, Makkah
90:1
لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ١
Saheeh International
I swear by this city, Makkah -
90:2
وَأَنتَ حِلُّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ٢
Saheeh International
And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city -
90:3
وَوَالِدٍ وَمَا وَلَدَ٣
Saheeh International
And [by] the father and that which was born [of him],
90:4
لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ٤
Saheeh International
We have certainly created man into hardship.
90:5
أَيَحۡسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقۡدِرَ عَلَيۡهِ أَحَدٌ٥
Saheeh International
Does he think that never will anyone overcome him?
90:6
يَقُولُ أَهۡلَكۡتُ مَالاً لُّبَدًا٦
Saheeh International
He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance."
90:7
أَيَحۡسَبُ أَن لَّمۡ يَرَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ٧
Saheeh International
Does he think that no one has seen him?
90:8
أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ عَيۡنَيۡنِ٨
Saheeh International
Have We not made for him two eyes?
90:9
وَلِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيۡنِ٩
Saheeh International
And a tongue and two lips?
90:10
وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلنَّجۡدَيۡنِ١٠
Saheeh International
And have shown him the two ways?
90:11
فَلَا ٱقۡتَحَمَ ٱلۡعَقَبَةَ١١
Saheeh International
But he has not broken through the difficult pass.
90:12
وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا ٱلۡعَقَبَةُ١٢
Saheeh International
And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass?
90:13
فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ١٣
Saheeh International
It is the freeing of a slave
90:14
أَوۡ إِطۡعَٰمٌ فِى يَوۡمٍ ذِى مَسۡغَبَةٍ١٤
Saheeh International
Or feeding on a day of severe hunger
90:15
يَتِيمًا ذَا مَقۡرَبَةٍ١٥
Saheeh International
An orphan of near relationship
90:16
أَوۡ مِسۡكِينًا ذَا مَتۡرَبَةٍ١٦
Saheeh International
Or a needy person in misery
90:17
ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواۡ وَتَوَاصَوۡاۡ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَتَوَاصَوۡاۡ بِٱلۡمَرۡحَمَةِ١٧
Saheeh International
And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.
90:18
أُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡمَيۡمَنَةِ١٨
Saheeh International
Those are the companions of the right.
